About the practice
Advice that starts with the paperwork you already own
Abbey Row Wealth Planning grew from years of helping households in Wales untangle pensions, protection, and retirement timing — without turning every meeting into a product pitch.
Origin
The practice takes its name from a quiet row of stone cottages near Johns Cross where early client meetings first took place around kitchen tables and pension folders. That domestic setting still shapes how we work: we expect to see real statements, not polished marketing packs.
Today we keep an office at Ernser Common while meeting clients across Great Britain by video when travel is impractical. The work remains the same — UK financial advice grounded in household cash flow, National Insurance records, and the cover that actually protects dependents.
How we work
- Fact-find before recommendations — never the reverse
- Plain-English plans with a ranked list of actions
- Fees agreed in writing before paid consultation begins
- No pressure to move pensions unless the numbers justify it
- Retirement timing
- Pension tracing
- Family protection
- Cash reserves
People
Consultations are led by planners with Chartered Financial Planner credentials and experience advising employed, self-employed, and recently retired clients. Support staff help gather valuations and prepare meeting packs so your time in session stays focused.
We do not hold client money. Where a recommendation requires regulated advice permissions, we confirm those permissions before proceeding.
Values we keep visible
Patience with paperwork. Missing statements slow plans; we help chase them rather than guess.
Honest limits. We will decline work outside our competence, including complex tax litigation and overseas trust structuring.
Local roots. Johns Cross is home base; UK-wide video meetings keep advice accessible without pretending we are everywhere at once.
